The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Rexburg, County of
Tuiadison, State of Tdaho, was held in the City Ha11 Wednesday, August 4,1920 at 8 ~.It't.
A Quorum appearing to be present, the meeting was called. to order by the
~~iayor and the Clerk was instructed to call the roll and upon roll call the follo~riing

Siren be referred the the Fire Department Committee, with power to act. Motion carried
This being the day set for hearing objections to the assessments of property
in Socal Improvement District TTn. 1?_ and it appearing from the report of the City
Clerk that one protest had been filed, that of James M. Cook, a copy of vrhich is here-
by attached and marked "Exhibit A", the Council then considered. the matter of the pro-
test: and after due deli.beratiori the following resolution was introduced by Councilman

Bids for the installation of a Fire Siren were read. as follows;
Valley Electric Company ~ 574.00, installed.
Capital Electric Co. v4 484.00 F.O.B. Chicago.
Julius Pearce F. D. Supply Co ~ 484,6G F. 0. B. Chicago.
Pfiotion by F.. G. Archibald, seconded by E. L. Walker that the purchase of the
"Whereas the City Engineer, together vrith the Committee on Streets of the
City Council of the City of P.exburg have heretofore on the 9th day of July, 1920 filed
with tYie City Clerk the assessment roll for Improvement District PTo. l2 of said City,
and,
with the City Clerk and that the owrera of property may file their objections in
writing to said assessment, and,
Whereas, the Council have met according to the terms of the notice and con-
sidered the objection of the 'said James I14. Cook, this being the only objection on
file to the said assessment roll, and,
Whereas, due notice has been given of such assessment roll tiding on file
Whereas, it is the opinion of the City Council that said objection be over
ruled,
' BE I1'RESOLVED by the Mayor a,rd City Council of the City of Rexburg, 3daho,
]..That .the objection of the said James M. Cools be, and. the same is hereby
overruled.
2. That.the City Attorney be instructed. to compose an Ordinance confirr,~ing
said assessment,roll.
3. That in conformity with Ordinance No. 25C creating and establishing said
Local Improvement District No. 12, that the City Council hereby determind that improve
ment bonds be authorized to pay for the costs of the street improvements in said City
and that the City Attorney provide fur the issue of said bonds in said ordinance.
4. That there be issued warrants-against said Local Improvement District No.
12 in accordance with Section 14 of the said Ordinance PTo. 250, payable to a contracts
or br other nro~er person upon estimates of the City Engineer, which said warrants
shall bear interest at. the rate of seven (7) percent per annum and shall be redeemed.
and retired by the proceeds derived from the sale of said bonds.
Passed and, approved this 4th day of August, 1920.
